1. Wine Loving Volunteers Wanted!
Wine Australia International (13-17 July 2006) is the only event in Australia where our nation's wineries come together under the one roof – it is the largest wine exhibition in the southern hemisphere.

We are seeking wine loving volunteers to assist in coordinating the Education Theatre program. The program consists of serious, structured tastings of some of Australia's most sought after wines, as well as sessions about wine basics.

The event provides an immense opportunity for students conducting wine or hospitality coursework to gain hands-on experience of wine. Or, you may just love wine and want to give us a hand!

You will be helping pour wines and set up rooms before sessions; clear up to set up for the next session; assist on audio-visual requirements for sessions; distribute information on sessions to attendees at the entrance; coordinate ticket sales; meet presenters to take them to sessions they are participating in; be a stage coordinator; be a ‘gopher’ to source wines for sessions, etc.

Volunteers need to have a current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate.

2. Hair Models Needed
Hi there!
We are a high quality salon in Brisbane and we need hair models for the workshops we are participating in at HairExpo, at the Darling Harbour Convention Centre on the Queens Birthday Long Weekend in June. All the stylists and colour technicians are very experienced, but we are looking for people willing to have a change and perhaps something a little bit cutting edge.

It doesn't matter what you look like, just that your hair is suitable for our needs… hair that has been coloured black or has a lot of buildup or bleaching may not be able to be used for colour.

We need models for cuts and colours on Sunday the 11th of June and Monday the 12th of June so if anyone is interested please contact us here at THD Hair and Spa.

There will be ABSOLUTELY NO CHARGE for any of the models.

3. Sydney Film Festival
The Sydney Film Festival is currently recruiting volunteers to assist with the running of the 2006 Festival, taking place from June 9-25.

Volunteers are needed immediately in the Festival office to help with general office duties, phone calls, mail-outs, etc. Volunteer roles during the Festival may involve assisting with audience research, office administration, ticketing, or front of house duties such as ushering and customer service at Festival venues including the State Theatre, Dendy Opera Quays and George Street Cinemas.

Volunteers receive a souvenir t-shirt and are eligible for complimentary ticket vouchers to Festival films (some conditions apply).

Application forms are available from the Sydney Film Festival website. Closing date for submissions is Friday, May 19th, 2006 at 5:00 pm. Please note all applicants must be at least 18 years of age.

Launched in 1953, the Sydney Film Festival is one of the longest running film festivals in the world and premieres the hottest films from Australia and around the globe during a jam-packed 16-day period in June. 4. MS Walk & Fun Run
Sunday June 4 2006
Volunteers are needed to be base volunteers or route marshals.

Locations include Milsons Point, Waverton, Hyde Park, Pyrmont, Millers Point & Circular Quay.

All volunteers will receive a kit including a free t-shirt & cap, event info and other goodies.
