Subject name: Criminology
What did you learn in this subject? Study of society and behaviours relating to crime. Also theories about crime, what is best way to handle criminals (lock them up or rehabiliate).
What is the teaching style? Major project and class participation (20%).
What did you like/dislike most about this subject? Like the theories of crime, and how it is so practical to our everyday living. For e.g my group did a project survey on fear of crime in sydney.
Would you recommend it to other students? You must have strong interest in criminal law or society, otherwise u will fall behind in your major project!! Like, that is really important.

What did you learn in this subject? Visas, but MORE. it is more broad and we had classes about issues like asylum seekers, etc Gives u great understand of reasons for migration act and whether it is harsh .etc..after this, u can formulate ur own opinions about governmental policy.
What is the teaching style? Laid back, experienced, informative and interesting. U get to choose your own major projects,so tops if u have inherent interests in migration law. I did mine on availability of judicial review rights on TRA decision making.
What did you like/dislike most about this subject? Well its very interesting!
Would you recommend it to other students? Why? Yes because it is relevant and in the news today. We are better responsible people by undertaking this subject ..hehe

What did you learn in this subject? How to divorce :P U know ur property rights and everything related to family law. children, spouse, defacto relationships. Also, a focus on issues relevant to family law. e.g.civil unions.
What is the teaching style? Great teaching style, laid back and lecturer is very nice. Friendly assessment components I believe.
What did you like/dislike most about this subject? It is relaxed atmosphere of teaching makes u think about the issues raised in class. Just allows u to think more broadly.
Would you recommend it to other students? Why? Yes, because it is very enjoyable!
